ADELINE 2.0 Hardware and Software Requirements
The ADELINE program system runs on an IBM-PC or compatible under the MSDOS
operating system. It is also known to run under Windows 3.11 as
a DOS Shell application and has even been sucessfully tested
on a Macintosh PowerPC running SoftWindows. The program is not
fully compatable with Windows 95 or Windows NT, but special versions
are under development.
The suggested configuration is:
- PC with at least a 486 processor at 66Mhz
(bare minimum is a 386 processor and a mathematical coprocessor at 33Mhz)
- 16MB RAM (8 MB RAM minimum)
- 510 KB free RAM under DOS (below 640 KB boundary)
- 20 MB free harddisk space for the installation
- 10-60 MB free harddisk space for project work space
- MS DOS 6.x operating system
- SVGA graphics card with 1 MB RAM (1024*768 pixels at 256 colours)
A note about graphics cards: The latest display drivers are incorporated into
ADELINE as quickly as possible. However, the pace of display device
advancement is so rapid that we can not guarantee that every display
mode of your new graphics card is going to work with ADELINE.
We are quite certain that there will be at least one 800 by 600, 8 bit color
depth or greater mode that will work. If you would like to check which
display modes of your graphics card will work with ADELINE, please download
this handy display driver test program called CHECKVGA.EXE
I would be interested to hear from you about your sucesses and failures.
